What we collect

We collect information you provide directly (name, email, phone number, ZIP code and location, shipping addresses, listings), information generated by your use of Peddly (transactions, bids, offers, messages, items you view, search, and watch — used to personalize your feed and recommendations), and technical information (IP address, browser type, device info) to operate the platform.

Identity verification

If you choose to verify your identity, verification is performed by Stripe Identity. Your government ID and selfie are collected and processed by Stripe under their privacy policy — Peddly never receives or stores your ID images. Peddly stores only the verification result (verified yes/no) and a one-way cryptographic fingerprint used solely to prevent one person from operating multiple verified accounts.

How we use it

We use your information to operate Peddly, process transactions, send order updates, prevent fraud, improve the platform, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Who we share it with

We share limited data with Stripe (payment processing and identity verification), Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), Resend (transactional email delivery), and Shippo (shipping label creation — receives names and addresses needed to generate labels). We share your name and shipping address with your transaction counterparty (the buyer or seller) only as needed to complete that transaction. We do not sell your personal data.

Cookies

We use session cookies required for authentication and platform functionality. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting support@peddly.market.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact support@peddly.market to exercise these rights.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe and never touches our servers.

Children

Peddly is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years old to use the platform, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it. Parents who believe their child has provided us information may contact support@peddly.market.
